Air Liquide Healthcare Ireland is seeking an experienced Technician to oversee installation, start-up and maintenance of high-purity gas and chemical delivery systems at client sites.
The 12-month fixed-term contract requires strong electro-mechanical aptitude, 5+ years in semiconductor/chemical or specialty gas sectors, and proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior technicians.
Air Liquide Healthcare Ireland has over 30 years experience and specialises in treating and monitoring respiratory diseases in the patient's home supporting multiple therapies: Home Oxygen Nebulisers Ventilations Sleep. We currently provide such therapies to over 10,000 patients across Ireland (combined private and public healthcare). Our field based operations team consists of Healthcare Technicians and Patient Care & Sales Specialists, who ensure that our patients receive the support that they need whilst using our equipment. From installation, training on how to use equipment, servicing and removal.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Air Liquide is currently searching for an experienced Technician to join the team and be responsible for start up and maintenance of equipment on clients site. This role is on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Oversee the installation, commissioning, operation, and troubleshooting of high-purity gas and chemical delivery systems. Perform daily rounds, safety inspections, minor analytical sampling, and cylinder/tote changeouts.
Act as the primary customer interface for projects, supervise technician activities, train Levels I-V techs, and step in as acting manager when needed.
Enforce all HS&E standards (PPE, LOTO, Confined Space) and take full accountability for facility, public, and team safety.
Maintain site-specific work instructions, track inventory and usage, initiate quality and safety incident reports, and assist in resolving semiconductor manufacturing issues.
Complete TGCM Tech Level V local OJT requirements within 12 months.
Associate's degree or equivalent in a technical field is preferred. 5+ years semiconductor, chemical or specialty gas or equivalent experience.
Ability to follow/give both written and verbal instructions. Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment, act as a mentor to all junior technicians.
Knowledge of all proper reporting procedures per onsite operations policy, including product acceptance criteria, tank fill, inventory and material usage, monitoring, safety parameters and personnel requirements. Demonstrate ability to coordinate and supervise a group of technicians on a project.
Display aptitude for controlling an emergency situation and coordinating problem solving actions. Able to understand and abide by stringent safety rules. Demonstrate ability to train junior technicians.
