Job summary

Air Liquide Healthcare Ireland seeks a field-based technician to coordinate installation, start-up and operation of high-purity gas and chemical delivery systems for patient-home therapies. You will serve as the primary interface for customer projects and supervise site technicians, ensuring safety, quality and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in semiconductor, chemical or specialty gas sectors, excellent communication and mentoring abilities, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in a technical field is preferred.

• Excellent Communication Skills: ability to follow/give both written and verbal instructions.
• Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment, act as a mentor to all junior technicians.

Job description

Air Liquide Healthcare Ireland has over 30 years experience and specialises in treating and monitoring respiratory diseases in the patient's home supporting multiple therapies: Home Oxygen Nebulisers Ventilations Sleep. We currently provide such therapies to over 10,000 patients across Ireland (combined private and public healthcare). Our field based operations team consist of Healthcare Technicians and Patient Care & Sales Specialists, who ensure that our patients receive the support that they need whilst using our equipment. From installation, training on how to use equipment, servicing and removal. This role is on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the installation, facilitation, and start-up of all high purity gas and/or chemical delivery equipment.
• Start-up and operate liquid bulk and specialty gas/chemical delivery equipment.
• Acts as the primary customer Project interface.
• Coordinate/oversee Project technician activities.
• Perform advanced gas/chemical troubleshooting and repair of delivery equipment.
• Perform daily rounds including recording readings, completing safety inspections, monitoring online gas and chemical systems, verifying toxic gas monitoring operations, and completing chemical tote/drum and gas cylinder changeouts.
• Verifies that daily rounds are recorded.
• Determines corrective action to be taken in event of abnormal parameters and ensures that corrective action is taken.
• Provide information for and initiate proper reporting procedures per on-site policies including, but not limited to: Quality Incident Reports, product acceptance, tank fill, inventory and material usage, bulk gas analysis, analyzer calibration, monitoring, safety parameters, and personnel requirements.
• Assist in the identification and resolution of gas/chemical related semiconductor-manufacturing problems.
• Restart all high purity gas and/or chemical delivery equipment.
• Facilitate all customer and Air Liquide programs including, but not limited to: Safety, Training, Commissioning.
• Train TGCM Tech Level I, II, III, IV, & V employees.
• Develop and maintain applicable site-specific work instructions.
• Comply with all applicable HS&E Standards including, but not limited to: PPE, Forklift Operations, Lock Out/Tag Out Program, Confined Space Entry, etc.
• Supervise on-site operations in absence of Manager.
• Generate site-specific reports and consolidate data as requested by Management.
• Complete assigned tasks as per existing procedure.
• Performs minor analytical procedures and/or sampling procedures.
• Accountable for the safety of all persons, and the general public surrounding the facility.

Requirements

• Display aptitude for controlling an emergency situation and coordinating problem solving actions.
• Able to understand and abide by stringent safety rules.
• Demonstrate ability to train junior technicians.
