Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to own reliability for real-time payment platforms on HP NonStop infrastructure. You will set SLOs, drive incident response, and lead platform automation across global teams.

The role requires deep Payments domain knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to shape operability and security practices in a 24x7 environment. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product, security, and infrastructure teams, and contribute to

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with HP NonStop (Tandem) platforms.
Deep knowledge of NonStop OS, Pathway, TMF, EMS, OSS, TACL, and diagnostic tooling.
Experience supporting high-throughput, low-latency real-time transaction systems.
Proven ownership of production reliability in 24x7 environments.
Solid payments network or financial transaction processing experience.

Responsibilities

Own availability, performance, latency, and resilience of payment platforms on HP NonStop infrastructure.
Define and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets for mission-critical services.
Act as lead incident commander for high-severity production incidents and drive rapid resolution.
Drive automation across monitoring, diagnostics, deployment, and recovery workflows.
Lead release readiness and production validation for platform changes.
Mentor SREs and operations engineers and set standards for runbooks and alert hygiene.
Partner with product, security and engineering to embed reliability early in design.
