Job summary

Archer Recruitment in Dublin partners with a well-established organisation to hire a Lead Cyber Security Engineer into a dedicated security function. This is a hands-on role for someone who has progressed from systems administration into security engineering and will work closely with the CISO.

You will lead security engineering projects, secure AD, Entra ID and M365, drive IAM/PAM and Azure security, and coordinate with MSSP/SOC on detection and incident response within a live enterprise

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience in security engineering.
• Strong foundations in systems administration, infrastructure or Microsoft enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience securing AD, Entra ID, M365 and related Microsoft security technologies.
• Experience implementing and improving security controls in live production environments.
• Good knowledge of networking, firewalls, vulnerability management and secure architecture.
• Experience working within a regulated enterprise environment.
• Strong technical, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

This is a highly technical, hands-on role for someone who has built their career in systems administration / infrastructure and progressed into security engineering. You will work closely with the CISO, taking ownership of security engineering initiatives, implementing technical controls and continuously improving security across a live enterprise environment.
