Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Principal Product Manager to define the vision and roadmap for Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) within Elastic Security. You will lead identity-centric strategies across on-prem, cloud, and AI-enabled environments, shaping how attackers are detected and contained.

You will collaborate with threat researchers, engineers, and enterprise customers to translate security needs into scalable identity solutions, integrating with SIEM/XDR workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management or solution delivery for security products such as SIEM, XDR, EDR, identity security, or detection and response.
• Solid knowledge of identity-based attack techniques and the identity fabric including AD, cloud ID providers, SSO, OAuth, and privileged access.
• Fluency with non-human identities (service accounts, workloads, secrets, AI agents).
• Strong AI/ML understanding: behavioral analytics, anomaly detection, LLMs, agentic systems.
• Bias to action with experimentation and autonomy in a remote-first environment.
• Comfort leading across a matrixed org and influencing stakeholders toward a common vision.
• Exceptional written and spoken communication for technical and executive audiences.
• Customer obsession with security analysts and defenders in identity threat scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for ITDR within Elastic Security.
• Model and manage identities (service accounts, workloads, AI agents) and their lifecycle at scale.
• Collaborate with threat research and detection engineering on identity-specific threats.
• Drive response and containment using identity-integrations and automated responses with human oversight.
• Engage with enterprise customers to capture requirements and priorities for identity attacks.
• Work with design to craft investigation and response experiences integrated with SIEM/XDR data.
• Maintain deep knowledge of identity-security market trends to inform strategy and evangelism.
• Act as product expert and evangelist through blogs, talks, and community involvement.
