Job summary

Dynamic Futures LLP in Dublin seeks a Lead Process Engineer to drive design and delivery of complex pharmaceutical and semiconductor projects.

You will lead process design teams, define PFDs and P&IDs, oversee scope, budget, and schedule, and coordinate with mechanical, electrical and architectural disciplines. Strong knowledge of HAZOP, ATEX, and field execution is essential.

Qualifications

• Third level degree in Process or Chemical Engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, including leadership in design disciplines.
• Experience with semiconductor projects is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects for Process systems, organizing tasks and delivering construction documents.
• Manage scope, budget and schedule to meet project objectives.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural and Electrical disciplines to develop designs.
• Direct process design efforts including PFDs and P&IDs and QA of construction documents.
• Oversee front-end site selection, due diligence and field activities.
• Review submittals for conformance with contract and design intent.
• Lead using piping stress analysis tools (AutoPIPE, Caesar) and ensure code compliance.

Job description

I am recruiting a Lead Process Engineer for complex pharmaceutical and semi-conductor projects in Dublin.

General Responsibilities

• Be a Subject-Matter-Expert, leading and controlling individual design projects for Process systems.
• Organize, assign, and delegate necessary engineering and design tasks to produce construction documents in conjunction with a team of engineers and designers.
• Manage scope, budget and schedule to meet project objective goals.
• Coordinate and collaborate real time with other disciplines such as mechanical, structural, architectural and Electrical to develop designs.
• Take responsible charge of the process design, including technical accuracy, completeness, and quality of construction documents.
• Analyse and design complex systems, including:
• Bulk Chemical
• Specialty gases
• UPW systems
• Waste water systems
• Manage Process Design Development through standard process design documentation including PFD’s and P&IDs.
• Up front site selection and due diligence activities.
• Exercise judgment in developing plans or alternatives and work with teams to assure quality plans.
• Familiar with HAZOP studies and ATEX requirements
• Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities.
• Review construction submittals for conformance with the intent of contract and design documents.
• Execute site master planning, concept designs and preliminary engineering phases with other team members.
• Direct the use of appropriate piping system stress analysis software (Autopipe, Caesar or similar)

Education & Experience:

• Third level degree in a relevant Process or Chemical Engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience with several years as design discipline lead preferable semiconductor experience
• General knowledge of mechanical system design and applicable codes
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
