Job summary

Leap29 is assisting a leading global engineering consultancy to recruit experienced Process Engineers for major Life Sciences projects in Ireland. You will work within a multidisciplinary team from concept to handover on design, construction and commissioning.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in pharma/life sciences, EPCM or consultancy background, and a solid grasp of cGMP. Hybrid work is offered with 3 days in Cork or Dublin, and a 12-month contract with renewal potential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years' experience in Pharma/Biopharma/Life Sciences projects.
• EPCM or engineering consultancy project experience.
• Experience on major capital projects (€100m+).
• Strong understanding of pharma process design and cGMP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver process engineering design packages for Life Sciences projects.
• Prepare and review PFDs, process calculations, equipment datasheets.
• Produce process specifications and engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, E&C, Civil, Architectural, Automation disciplines.
• Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews.
• Ensure designs meet cGMP and regulatory requirements.
• Provide engineering support through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams throughout lifecycle.

The Opportunity

Leap29 is supporting a leading global engineering consultancy in the recruitment of experienced Process Engineers for major pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects across Ireland.

You will join a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering complex Life Sciences facilities for global clients, working across the project lifecycle from concept and detailed design through to construction support, commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver process engineering design packages for major Life Sciences projects.
• Prepare and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), process calculations, equipment datasheets and technical documentation.
• Produce process specifications and engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Architectural and Automation disciplines.
• Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews.
• Ensure designs comply with cGMP, client standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide engineering support throughout construction, commissioning and project handover.
• Work collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years' experience within Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical or Life Sciences projects.
• Proven process design experience within an EPCM or engineering consultancy environment.
• Experience on major capital projects, ideally €100m+.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical process design and cGMP requirements.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
