Job summary

Uniphar is offering an exciting Supervising Pharmacist position at McCauleys Fairgreen Pharmacy, Carlow. This 45-hour permanent role sits within a team including a Store Manager, Assistant Manager, 2 Support Pharmacists and 6 Pharmacy Technicians, with a focus on professional standards and patient care.

You will observe Pharmacy Act 2007 regulations, participate in CPD, manage stock control, ensure security, and support store retail standards while adapting to policy changes.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years as a Supervising Pharmacist is highly advantageous.
• Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland, with a minimum of 3 years Post-registration experience.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Highly organized with a proven ability to work on multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• The ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team is essential.

Responsibilities

• Strictly observe statutory regulations relating to the supply of medical products under the Pharmacy Act 2007 and maintain professional standards in the community pharmacy.
• Participate in Continuing Education Programs to enhance CPD.
• Implement policies and procedures as introduced by Allcare Pharmacy and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain stock control and ensure proper receipt and documentation of all goods and services in the dispensary.
• Ensure security of stock, property, keys and staff safety in coordination with the pharmacy Manager.
• Comply with Health and Safety regulations and keep staff aware of requirements.
• Keep business details confidential and protect sensitive information within company guidelines.
• Administer Department of Health schemes (e.g., DPS, LTI, GMS), ensure monthly submissions and reconcile payments.
• Support the pharmacy manager to uphold store retail standards, merchandising, and stock control.
