Job summary

Uniphar Group is hiring a Supervising Pharmacist for McCauleys Fairgreen Pharmacy in Carlow. This 45-hour permanent position leads a small team and ensures high professional standards in community pharmacy.

The role involves health promotion, CPD participation, stock control, and adherence to PSI regulations, with salary and benefits aligned to industry norms. Training and pension support are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years as a Supervising Pharmacist is highly advantageous.
• Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland, with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Observe statutory regulations relating to the supply of medicines as per the Pharmacy Act 2007.
• Maintain the community pharmacy to a proper professional standard.
• Participate in Health Promotion and Pharmaceutical Care programs.
• Engage in Continuing Education Programs to enhance CPD.
• Implement policies and SOPs introduced by Allcare Pharmacy.
• Ensure stock control and proper receipt/documentation of goods and services; security of stock and staff safety with the pharmacy manager.
