Job summary

Clarity Recruitment is seeking a Supervising Pharmacist for a permanent full-time position in Kilcormac, Co. Offaly.

The role entails holding professional responsibility, leading a pharmacy team, and ensuring compliance with PSI regulations and the Pharmacy Act 2007. Responsibilities include dispensing oversight, clinical checks, patient counselling, and leading services such as vaccinations and BP glucose monitoring.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
• Proven experience in a community pharmacy setting, ideally in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of Irish pharmacy regulations and expanded community pharmacy services.
• Flexibility to participate in the Saturday rota.

Responsibilities

• Hold professional and legal responsibility for the safe and effective operation of the pharmacy.
• Oversee and support the pharmacy team, including support pharmacists and dispensing staff.
• Ensure full compliance with PSI regulations, the Pharmacy Act 2007, and all relevant legislation.
• Manage dispensing, clinical checks, and patient counselling for prescription and OTC medicines.
• Lead on pharmacy services (e.g. vaccinations, BP/glucose monitoring, minor ailment schemes).
• Oversee stock control, pharmacy administration, and staff scheduling.
• Act as main contact for regulatory inspections and quality assurance.
