Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Software Engineer / Lead Architect for Open Finance in Ireland. You will shape secure, scalable Open Banking services and directly contribute through architecture reviews and coding in collaborative cross‑functional teams.

You will mentor engineers, drive high‑impact initiatives, and guide architectural decisions to balance speed, scale and sustainability in a regulated financial services context.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering and architecture experience.
• Strong Java/Spring Boot/Hibernate, and microservices expertise.
• Hands-on in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) and secure design.
• Proficiency in secure coding practices and vulnerability management.
• Experience leading technical initiatives in regulated financial services.
