Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a staff-level Network Systems Engineer to drive standardisation and automation of our global network infrastructure. The role focuses on establishing Infrastructure as Code, reusable automation, and auditable delivery across engineering, security and architecture teams.

You will build pipelines, manage configuration with Terraform and Ansible, and guide the team toward modern software-engineering practices while reducing drift and risk in production

Qualifications

• Proven track record modernising network infrastructure via automation in large production environments.
• Strong software-engineering skills in Python and Go with API integration and documentation.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible and reusable automation components.
• Solid knowledge of Git, PR workflows, CI/CD pipelines, testing and release controls.
• Deep enterprise networking knowledge across routing, switching, wireless, and security with Juniper Mist/Junos.
• Excellent troubleshooting and engineering judgment in operational delivery and incidents.

Responsibilities

• Assess the network estate and toolchain to define a phased modernisation roadmap.
• Establish Infrastructure as Code with authoritative source of truth and governance.
• Build reusable automation using Python/Go, Terraform, Ansible, APIs and config-management tooling.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines with linting, tests, drift detection and controlled rollout.
• Partner with engineering, architecture and security to translate network intent into version-controlled implementations.
• Lead safe migration of services into the automated model while remaining hands-on during delivery.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to governance forums to sustain automation capabilities.
