Job summary

Monzo is recruiting for a Head of Model Risk Oversight in Dublin to lead the EU-wide Model Risk Management framework and oversee independent validation across credit risk, fraud and AI use cases. The role emphasises mathematical soundness, data lineage, and regulatory alignment within MB EU’s risk appetite.

Reporting to the Director of Credit Risk, MBEU, you will drive validation standards, risk metrics, and governance across the organization and ensure robust escalation to ERC and the Board

Responsibilities

• Defining, implementing and maintaining the EU-wide Model Risk Management (MRM) Framework and validation standards.
• Leading the technical 2LOD validation of material and high-risk models prior to deployment.
• Co-ordinating for the Model Risk Oversight Committee (MROC) reporting to ERC and BRC.
• Maintaining the MBEU Model Inventory including AI Use Case registries.
• Embedding group-wide risk governance with local policy alignment and escalation protocols.
