Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor for a North Cork-based food production client. You will supervise maintenance staff and external contractors, organise training, and manage shift planning to meet operations.

Qualifications

  • Supervisory maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, pumps and conveyors.
  • Experience with maintenance planning and asset management systems.
  • Health & safety training or certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance technicians, fitters, and external contractors to ensure work is safe, efficient and up to standard.
  • Organise, coordinate, and lead maintenance training and development for maintenance personnel.
  • Prepare and manage shift schedules, work assignments and labour allocation.
  • Develop, implement and maintain maintenance policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Coordinate procurement and control of tools, spare parts, consumables and equipment.
  • Provide technical guidance to support problem-solving at operational and strategic levels.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with health, safety regulations and environmental standards.
