Job summary

Dell Technologies in Cork is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Technician to lead setup, operation and maintenance of liquid cooling and test equipment in a manufacturing environment. You will drive advanced troubleshooting, deploy new equipment and ensure reliability and efficiency across the factory.

You will mentor technicians, develop maintenance procedures, and collaborate with engineering and operations on NPI, process validation and upgrades, while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation or Manufacturing.
• 6+ years supporting advanced manufacturing, process or test equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment and industrial systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the site technical expert for liquid cooling manufacturing equipment and test systems.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause investigations of complex issues.
• Install, qualify, maintain and support manufacturing equipment for liquid cooling.
• Drive uptime and reliability via preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Collaborate on NPI, equipment commissioning and process validation.
• Develop maintenance procedures and technical documentation.
• Train and mentor technicians and operations staff on equipment operation and safety.
• Coordinate with suppliers/service partners to resolve issues and implement upgrades.
• Promote safety, compliance and environmental standards; lead continuous improvement projects.
