Job summary
Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited in Dublin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own and improve data center liquid cooling infrastructure. You will work with global product development teams to understand products in development and maintain ownership throughout operation life, reviewing design changes and engaging with suppliers.
The role requires hands-on mechanical and manufacturing experience with cooling products, understanding piping, pumps, air handling, and equipment submittals, with
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of data center equipment and liquid cooling concepts.
- Experience with commissioning and submittal reviews.
Responsibilities
- Possess strong engineering judgement and provide recommendations.
- Detail and data oriented execution of tasks.
- Experience with air handling, piping and/or pumping products.
- Review, update, and approve equipment submittals.
- Collaborate with global liquid cooling equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
- Build trust with stakeholders across reliability, operations, design, and compliance.
- Handle concurrent projects across multiple geographic zones.
- Explain complex systems in clear, concise language.
- Support Operations including failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
