Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Ireland, Castletroy, Limerick, is seeking a Team Leader Moulding Engineer to lead injection moulding operations and drive process improvements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires technical leadership in a production value stream, responsibility for equipment performance and budgets, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products in line with GMP standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 8 Honours Degree (B.Sc. or B.Eng.) in Physics, Chemistry, Biological Science, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Process Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment or a similar technical setting.
• Proven track record of delivering results in a technical or engineering role.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within a production value stream for injection moulding operations.
• Ensure moulding equipment meets company specifications, schedules and budgets.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities through process characterisation, challenge testing, process capability studies and stability runs to qualify new products and processes in line with the annual business plan.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Drive the identification and resolution of corrective and preventative actions associated with moulding process quality issues.
