Job summary

ESB in Dublin/Cork seeks a Senior Substation Engineer to lead high voltage transmission and distribution design projects. You will manage design deliverables, safety coordination, and stakeholder engagement across multiple locations, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in substation design, PSDP/CDMC competency, and strong project management, with hybrid working and regular travel to project sites. A Level 8 Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years in substation design and related projects.
• Strong understanding of tendering, planning, costing and commissioning.
• Experience with PSDP/CDMC processes and safety management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver substation designs, design meetings and programme deliverables.
• Provide technical support for design reviews and meetings.
• Coordinate project scope, budget, and quality with stakeholders.
• Ensure PSDP design safety and risk assessments are in place.
• Meet deadlines while maintaining safety and quality.
