Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Dublin is seeking a Principal Fire Safety Engineer to join our infrastructure team. You will lead fire safety design across transport, leisure, educational, commercial, healthcare, industrial and residential projects, ensuring compliance with Irish fire safety standards.

Preference will be given to candidates aiming to Chartered Engineer status; a driving licence is preferred and you will mentor junior engineers while building client relationships.

Qualifications

Postgrad experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Fire Safety Engineering (level 8).
MSc in Fire Safety Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop fire safety strategies from inception to completion for various project types.
Technical report writing.
Preparation of design drawings and review of drawings prepared by others.
Fire risk assessments and surveys of existing buildings.
Undertaking site inspections under BC(A)R 2014.
Review of Contractor and Design Team proposals and submittals.
Guide and mentor junior Engineers and other members of the team.
Develop a network of colleagues and clients.
