Gaia Talent is seeking a Principal Fire Safety Engineer to join an established Dublin-based infrastructure team. You will lead fire safety strategies, guide project teams, and deliver complex designs from inception to completion while liaising with public and private clients across sectors.

The role requires a strong background in fire safety engineering, knowledge of Irish legislation, and excellent communication skills. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Fire Safety Engineering or equivalent.
• Postgraduate experience in an engineering consultancy or similar environment.
• Master’s degree in Fire Safety Engineering is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety design, Irish legislation, building regulations and construction technology.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Presentation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Organisation skills with ability to prioritise workloads.

Responsabilités

• Develop and deliver fire safety strategies for building and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare technical reports, fire safety assessments and design documentation.
• Produce fire safety design drawings and review drawings by peers.
• Conduct fire risk assessments and surveys of existing buildings.
• Undertake site inspections under BC(A)R 2014 where required.
• Review design proposals and material submittals.
• Provide technical leadership to junior engineers and team members.
• Manage multiple projects within budgets and programmes.
• Build relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Contribute to the team’s technical expertise and network.
