Job summary

RPG Recruitment in Waterford is seeking an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor with 3+ years of main contractor experience to support all costs for building and civil projects across commercial, residential, industrial, and educational sectors. Qualifications

• Self-starter with initiative and ownership of the estimating/QS department.
• Third level construction qualification required.
• Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience with a main contractor.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating/QS department and drive its growth.
• Oversee post-tender and pre-contract activities and commercial targets.
• Coordinate sub-contractor procurement, planning meetings, and contract documentation through to final accounts.
• Develop project valuations and progress reports.
• Report to senior management on project progression.
• Monitor labour costs and cost reporting to maintain profitability.
• Evolve procurement standards and procedures and ensure timely estimates.
• Assist with bid pricing and cost analysis.
