Job summary

Eaton Dublin’s Center for Intelligent Power is seeking a Senior Engineer, Embedded Systems Design to lead edge analytics platform development. You will design hardware-integrated software, prototype, test, and drive product integration while coordinating cross-functional teams in an agile setting.

You’ll optimize DSP/ML workloads for embedded platforms and provide architecture guidance, pursuing secure coding practices and tool-chain excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (CS/EE or related).
• 3+ years of embedded C/C++ development delivering high-quality products.
• Experience with real-time embedded Linux or RTOS (threading, memory management).
• Strong hardware/software integration knowledge (schematics, drivers, SPI/I2C, DMA).
• Experience with signal processing techniques (FFT, DWT).
• MATLAB/Simulink code generation for embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead embedded software for edge analytics on hardware platforms.
• Own components from requirements through validation and integration.
• Develop DSP and ML workloads optimized for embedded hardware.
• Coordinate hardware/software integration and validation across teams.
• Contribute to agile backlog planning, sprints, and technical risk management.
• Promote software quality with testing, QA collaboration and metrics.
