Job summary

Brightpath Recruitment is seeking a Lead Electrician for a growing engineering and automation company based in Sligo. The role is hands-on, carrying out electrical installations at customer sites in Ireland and overseas, with travel worldwide.

You will lead installation work, supervise electricians and apprentices, read electrical drawings, ensure safety and high standards, and collaborate with project engineers on a variety of automation projects.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with strong industrial experience.
• Experience leading electrical installation work or supervising a team.
• Experience with industrial machinery, control panels or automation systems.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical installation work at customer sites in Ireland and overseas.

We are looking for a Lead Electrician to join a growing engineering and automation company based in Sligo. This is a hands‑on role involving electrical installations at customer sites, both in Ireland and internationally.

This is a great opportunity to work on a variety of engineering and automation projects, take responsibility for site installations and travel worldwide as part of an experienced engineering team.

About Our Client

Our client is a locally owned engineering company based in Sligo, specialising in electrical engineering, automation and software solutions across industries including Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Automotive and Medical Devices.

Their work covers everything from electrical installations and control panel builds to PLC programming, bespoke automation systems and machine vision technology.

With a growing pipeline of projects, they are looking to add an experienced Lead Electrician to their team.

What You'll Do

• Lead electrical installation work at customer sites in Ireland and overseas
• Carry out electrical installations, wiring and connections on machinery and automation systems
• Supervise and coordinate electricians and apprentices on site
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Ensure installations are completed safely and to a high standard
• Work closely with project engineers and other members of the team
• Assist with testing, commissioning and fault finding
• Travel internationally as required for customer projects

Who We're Looking For

• Qualified Electrician with strong industrial experience
• Previous experience leading electrical installation work or supervising a team
• A strong commercial background, ideally within industrial, manufacturing or engineering environments
• Experience working with industrial machinery, control panels or automation systems
• Experience working directly with customers on site
• Willingness to travel internationally
