Job summary

Brightpath Recruitment in Sligo is seeking an experienced Production Manager to take charge of a growing manufacturing site. You will lead electricians and apprentices, oversee daily operations, plan production and site installations, and drive Lean improvements to support both internal projects and external customers.

The role offers ownership of operations, potential progression into the Senior Leadership Team, and the autonomy to reorganise floor workflows for increased output.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Workshop Manager, Production Manager or Operations Manager.
• Experience managing a team in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong commercial background in pharmaceutical, food or other manufacturing industries.
• Experience in production planning, purchasing and inventory management.

Are you an experienced Production Manager looking for your next challenge?

We are looking for an experienced manager to take charge of a growing manufacturing site managing a team and overseeing daily operations.

With a growing pipeline of projects, the company is entering an exciting period of growth and looking to develop its manufacturing operation into a separate business unit, supplying both internal projects and external customers.

This is a great opportunity to put your own stamp on the workshop, improve production and play a key role in the company's growth, with the potential to progress into the Senior Leadership Team.

About Our Client

Our client is a locally owned engineering company based in Sligo, specialising in electrical engineering, automation and software solutions across industries including Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Automotive and Medical Devices.

Their work covers everything from electrical installations; control panel builds and PLC programming to bespoke automation systems and machine vision technology.

What you will do:

Who We're Looking For

• Experience in production planning, purchasing and inventory management

Nice to have

• Experience in electrical manufacturing, automation or machine building
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
• Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• A Train the Trainer qualification
