Job summary

ESB is recruiting a Senior Electrical Specialist (Onshore Renewables) to lead electrical engineering delivery across solar, wind, and energy storage projects. The role involves directing a skilled team, coordinating with clients, contractors and OEMs to ensure successful delivery from concept to handover.

The candidate will bring seven+ years of HV/EBOP experience, strong leadership, and robust contract management capabilities, with a focus on safety, design verification, and governance across

Qualifications

• Seven years' post-graduate experience in HV power and/or EBOP works for renewables or storage.
• Strong knowledge of renewable generation, BESS, substations, and related electrical infrastructure.
• Experience leading engineering delivery across feasibility, design, tender, procurement, and contractor management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of large, complex renewable energy and electrical infrastructure projects as Engineering Delivery Lead.
• Manage feasibility studies, due diligence, conceptual design, budgets, specs, scopes, and tender docs.
• Lead procurement and contract management including tender evaluations and contract administration for D&B and EPC.
• Oversee design assurance, contractor management, design reviews and verification to meet project requirements and governance.
• Supervise construction, manufacturing and commissioning activities, including QA and safety compliance.
• Provide PSDP/ safety leadership and promote best practice in design safety across projects.
• Provide subject matter expertise and mentor engineers, supporting capability development.
