Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Ireland is seeking a Principal Consultant to join the Technology consulting team, focusing on database development, data management, process and data mapping, and analytics. You will lead a range of data-focused projects, sell solutions to clients, capture requirements, and facilitate workshops.

The role requires strong technical delivery capability across data platforms and BI tools, with opportunities to work on major projects and develop globally.

Qualifications

• Degree in an analytic subject (e.g. Maths, Geography, Engineering, Economics) desirable.
• Construction (Civil Engineering) background is also acceptable.
• Consulting and business analysis skills (MoSCoW method) to understand client requirements.
• Development experience in Power Platform and Microsoft Fabric Environment.
• Development experience in Azure, including Databricks, SQL, Logic Apps, Key Vault, ADF and ADLS.
• Experience in data warehousing and data modelling.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Strong understanding of BI and reporting architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams of analysts and consultants on a range of tasks.
• Develop project execution plans and oversee end-to-end delivery with senior stakeholders.
• Lead client engagements to capture data, analysis and modelling requirements.
• Identify and run different business and model scenarios.
• Develop end-to-end data processes and data models.
• Design data solutions in collaboration with clients and their IT teams.
• Build dashboards and visualisations using various tools.
• Support clients' use of model outputs for decision making.
• Test solutions and models against requirements.
• Conduct assurance checks of implemented solutions.
• Prepare project communications and formal progress reports.
• Prepare presentations for client pitches and business generation.
