Job summary

ICON Clinical Research, based in Dublin, is seeking a Principal Clinical Data Science Lead to oversee data management teams in early phase studies. This role encompasses managing project budgets, timelines, and ensuring data integrity according to regulatory guidelines. The successful candidate will have over 6 years of clinical data management experience and will synergize with various departments to meet study objectives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of clinical data management experience in a Clinical Research Organization or Pharmaceutical company.
• 3+ years of experience leading studies with key responsibilities for study set-up and close-out tasks.
• Experience with Phase I studies strongly preferred, but not required.
• Experience with Rave strongly preferred, must have experience with at least one of ICON’s preferred CDMS.
• Highly computer literate, including strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong client relationship management skills.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills with project management aptitude.
• Bachelor's degree or local equivalent in a scientific field and/or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage data management teams, studies, and programs of studies.
• Provide planning estimates for project scope, schedule, and resource requirements.
• Ensure studies are properly managed and delivered according to corporate standards.
• Manage overall project budget, cost control, timelines, and project quality.
• Negotiate with clients regarding timelines and deliverables.
• Travel approximately 15% for domestic and/or international projects.
