Job summary

NES Fircroft are partnering with a global power technology business to recruit a Civil & Structural Design Engineer – Team Leader for Dublin. You will lead the renewables design effort for grid and substation projects, coordinating between civil/structural and electrical teams.

You will manage design teams, interface with stakeholders, monitor budgets, and drive programs from feasibility through construction, with travel to sites as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 10+ years’ experience in civil/structural design.
• Experience leading design teams on large infrastructure or renewables.
• Chartered status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead renewable design projects from tender to on-site completion.
• Mentor and coordinate civil/structural design team.
• Engage stakeholders across project lifecycle (developers, authorities, networks).
• Plan and monitor costs, budgets and weekly P&L updates.
• Prepare tender documents and submissions.
• Manage design programme through construction phase.
• Review design drawings before issue.
• Manage RFI schedules throughout design.
• Coordinate with HSQE, Design, Quality, Commercial on ISO procedures.
• Travel to site for design meetings as needed.
