Job summary

OpenText Cork, Ireland, seeks a Lead Business Systems Analyst for Financial Services / SWIFT to translate complex banking requirements into robust technology solutions across the full lifecycle.

As a senior team member, you will mentor colleagues, partner with clients, and help expand OpenText's Financial Hub capabilities across Europe and beyond.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Business Analysis experience in financial services, banking, payments, treasury, or fintech environments.
• Strong knowledge of SWIFT messaging, including SWIFT MT, ISO 20022, and related processes.
• Proven experience engaging with clients and managing requirements across multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
• Experience in Agile delivery; SWIFT certification and payments/treasury domain expertise are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities for complex SWIFT, payments, treasury, and financial services initiatives.
• Partner directly with clients to understand business challenges, define requirements, and recommend solution approaches.
• Work across the full solution lifecycle, including analysis, design, testing, implementation, and production support.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, QA, Sales, Pre-Sales, and Support teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Mentor team members, drive best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement across the BA function.

Your Impact

As a Lead Business Systems Analyst in – Financial Services / SWIFT, you will play a critical role in helping financial institutions optimize and modernize their payment, treasury, and financial messaging operations. Working with some of the world's leading banks and enterprises, you will act as a trusted advisor, translating complex business requirements into effective technology solutions that deliver real business value. You will partner closely with clients and cross-functional teams throughout the entire solution lifecycle, from discovery and requirements analysis through implementation and production support. Leveraging your expertise in SWIFT, ISO 20022, and financial services processes, you will help shape solutions that sit at the heart of global financial transaction processing. As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor colleagues, influence best practices, and contribute to the growth of our Financial Services business across Europe and beyond.

What the Role Offers

What You Need to Succeed

• 8+ years of Business Analysis experience within financial services, banking, payments, treasury, or fintech environments.
• Strong knowledge of SWIFT messaging, including SWIFT MT, ISO 20022, and related financial messaging processes.
• Proven experience engaging directly with clients and managing requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, and process documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments; SWIFT certification and payments or treasury domain expertise are highly desirable.
