Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to drive backlog, refine user stories, and coordinate agile ceremonies for the nCino rollout. You will work with Product Owners, BAs, developers, and QA to ensure clear requirements and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities cover backlog prioritisation, story refinement, workshop facilitation, BAT/UAT planning, and production support. The role emphasizes collaboration and compliance across the solution delivery lifecycle.

Project Scope: Onboard 100% of Business Lending onto nCino to deliver enhanced customer proposition and operational efficiencies. (e.g. Retail Finance, secured Lending, Business Banking, UK Coporate)
Deliver business lending origination including fulfilment and data lineage by building and deploying enterprise capabilities on a single enterprise platform, reducing fragmentation across systems.
Lead Business analyst required to drive clarity, alignment, and delivery within the squad by managing backlog readiness, supporting Business Analysts, coordinating with the Product Owner, and ensuring smooth execution of agile ceremonies and business testing activities.

Role Details

1. Backlog & Delivery Management

• Partner with the Product Owner to prioritise and manage the squad backlog.
• Ensure user stories meet definition of ready (DoR) and are prepared for development.
• Facilitate squad story review and story pointing sessions.
• Contribute to Sprint Planning and support sprint goal definition.

2. User Story & BA Support

• Prepare and refine user stories to a high quality.
• Review BA authored stories and provide ongoing feedback.
• Meet with BAs regularly during the weekly to support analysis work & allocate workload
• Answer clarification queries and assign stories based on BA capacity and skills.
• Ensure story scope, acceptance criteria, and dependencies are clearly documented.
• Complete a comprehensive impact analysis is completed for all proposed changes, with impacts across all nCino journeys fully considered.
• Ensure all agreed requirements are fully documented, updated, and signed off in JIRA & Confluence.
• Drive the sign‑off process with Product Owners, SMEs, and key stakeholders to ensure that requirements are formally approved prior to development.
• Monitor and reinforce documentation standards within the BA team to support audit readiness, consistent delivery, and clarity for downstream teams (developers, QA, hypercare).
• Regularly review and update artefacts during the delivery lifecycle to ensure they remain the single source of truth.
• Ensure the squad assists the hyper care/production support team in the triaging of production issues.

3. Workshops & Stakeholder Engagement

• Plan, organise, and facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Support requirement discovery, solution refinement, and alignment on business value.
• Document outcomes and ensure clear follow up actions.

4. BAT/ UAT

• Plan and coordinate BAT /UAT with business stakeholders.
• Organise test execution, manage issues raised, and ensure timely resolution.
• Support the business in defining test scenarios and readiness criteria.

5. Agile Ceremony Facilitation

• Run daily stand ups when required and ensure blockers are promptly addressed.
• Support the squad in maintaining momentum and delivery consistency e.g. escalating any roadblocks & challenges and taking speedy action
• Assist in other agile ceremonies as needed (e.g., refinement, retros).

6. Ways of Working

• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to ensure prioritisation aligns with strategic goals.
• Maintain strong communication with BAs, developers, testers, and stakeholders.
• Promote transparency, continuous improvement, and a solution focused mindset within the squad.

7. nCino Release preparation

• Works with PO & Delivery lead to contribute to the production verification implementation plan, ensuring production verification scripts, production verification testers & any test data set up are in place in advance of nCino releases

8. Production Support & Hypercare

• Assist hypercare and production support teams in the triage, analysis, and clarification of production issues.
• Act as a key contact for production support teams, providing clarification on business rules, requirement intent, expected behaviour, and scenario breakdowns during issue triage.
• Support investigation by ensuring requirements, acceptance criteria, and business rules are clearly understood and traceable.
