Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience with banking domain knowledge and IT-enabled change.
• Experience delivering end‑to‑end large‑scale IT implementations in a bank.
• Proficient in Web technologies and Agile/Waterfall project management.
• Banking domain expertise: Financial Crime, Customer, Retail, Corporate, Payments, Lending.
• APIs (REST, SOAP) and API testing tools (Postman, Swagger).
• SQL and relational databases knowledge (Oracle, MS SQL).
• Familiarity with data mapping, ETL processes, and data governance.
• Experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Document User Stories with clear functional and technical specifications.
• Analyze and map current banking processes; propose automation improvements.
• Coordinate with development teams for API implementation and integration with banking systems.
• Validate API payloads, endpoints, and security compliance.
• Perform SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Support data migration, ETL processes, and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Analyze data flows and create data mapping documents.
• Agile Product Backlog Management: write user stories, prioritize backlog, coordinate sprints, and manage tickets using JIRA/Confluence.
• System Testing & QA: support SIT, UAT, and regression testing for API and database functionalities.
• Use Postman, Swagger for API testing and validation.
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams.
• Compliance & Documentation: adhere to banking regulations and security standards.
• Maintain detailed documentation for APIs, data models, and integration workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture functional and technical requirements for banking applications.

Required Skills

• An experienced IT professional with 8+ years, a proven track record in banking and delivery of IT enabled change
• Should have experience of at least one end to end large scale IT system implementation in the Bank.
• Be expert in the use of Web based technologies and Agile /Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Banking domain expertise (Financial Crime (AMLA), Customer, Retail, Corporate, Payments, Lending).
• APIs (REST, SOAP) and API testing tools (Postman etc).
• SQL and relational databases knowledge (Oracle, MS SQL).
• Familiarity with data mapping, ETL processes, and data governance.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (JIRA, Confluence).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Be expert in the use of Web based technologies and Agile /Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Finance.
• Certifications: CBAP, Agile, or API-related certifications.
