Lead BMS Engineer – Data Centre Delivery

Job summary

Unify in Dublin is seeking an experienced BMS Manager to lead the technical delivery of the building management system for a major data centre project. The role covers design, integration, commissioning and handover, working closely with BMS integrators, MEP teams and the client to ensure the system meets the spec.

You will take ownership of BMS graphics, alarms and trends, review control strategies, troubleshoot complex issues and support testing and commissioning across contractors.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in BMS/Building Automation/Controls.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, BMS architecture and system integration.
• Experience with BACnet, Modbus or similar protocols.
• Proven commissioning and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience integrating BMS with EPMS and third-party systems.
• Ability to interpret schematics, points lists and control strategies.
• Experience working with BMS integrators and controls contractors.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of the BMS package through design, installation and commissioning.
• Review BMS designs, control strategies, points lists, sequences and technical submittals.
• Coordinate BMS integration with HVAC, EPMS and other building services.
• Oversee BMS integrators and specialist controls contractors.
• Lead and support testing, commissioning, fault finding and functional performance testing.
• Troubleshoot complex BMS, controls and communication issues.
• Review BMS graphics, alarms, trends and system functionality.
• Ensure accurate commissioning and handover documentation.
