Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer - Post Controls Install to lead the final stages of project delivery, taking ownership of commissioning activities from system validation through to customer handover.

You will work on BMS projects across commercial, pharmaceutical, industrial and data centre environments, collaborating with project managers, software engineers, installation teams, consultants and clients to ensure top-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience commissioning Building Management Systems (BMS) on commercial, pharmaceutical, industrial, or data centre projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and associated control strategies.
• Experience supporting project delivery from commissioning through to client handover.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across BMS systems, controllers, field devices, and equipment.
• Experience working directly with customers, consultants, and commissioning teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities across active projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities following completion of BMS controls installation across a range of projects.
• Take ownership of testing, validation, and handover activities to ensure systems operate as designed.
• Coordinate on-site commissioning activities and act as the key technical contact during the commissioning phase.
• Support customer demonstrations, witness testing, training, and project handover activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with quality, safety, and customer requirements.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while providing high level technical support.
