Job summary

Ebb & Flow in Dublin is seeking an experienced Head Barista / Supervisor to lead our busy coffee operation. This hands-on leadership role focuses on maintaining high coffee and service standards while mentoring the team during food service.

You will own shifts in the absence of the General Manager, dial in espresso, train staff, and ensure excellent customer experiences. Pay starts at €16.00 per hour and includes benefits for a vibrant brunch environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional barista experience in speciality coffee.
• Strong espresso preparation and dial-in knowledge.
• Excellent grinder maintenance knowledge.
• Strong understanding of coffee tasting and quality.
• Excellent latte art and milk texturing skills.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Able to manage a shift independently when a manager is not present.
• Experience with cash handling and reconciliation.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards.
• Positive team player who leads by example.

Responsibilities

• Dial in espresso and maintain consistency throughout service.
• Extensive understanding of speciality coffee, including extraction, grind settings, dose, yield and brew ratios.
• Regular grinder maintenance and keep equipment clean and operating to a high standard.
• Produce consistently high-quality espresso-based drinks.
• Have excellent latte art and milk-texturing skills.
• Maintain high standards of coffee presentation and quality throughout every service.
• Lead coffee team during busy services and run shifts when the manager is absent.
• Cash handling and cash reconciliation accuracy; assist opening/closing procedures.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding operational issues.
