Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years in backend engineering, data engineering, or big data processing.
• Proficient in Java or Python and SQL.
• Experience building batch/streaming data pipelines (Spark) or high-scale server applications.
• Cloud platform experience.
• Experience using AI coding assistants/LLMs to boost development throughput.
• Excellent communication across international teams.

Responsibilities

• Own key features in Mail Intelligence: design, build, and evolve backend services and data pipelines powering AI/ML personalization for 220+ million users.
• Lead performance and scalability work across the stack.
• Build for resilience with self-healing pipelines and automated diagnostics.
• Establish automated data quality and compliance frameworks for petabyte-scale datasets.
• Act as technical liaison between Dublin and US teams; align data and service roadmaps.
• Raise team velocity by setting best practices for AI-assisted development and code review.
