Job summary

R&D Partners in Ireland is seeking a Laboratory IT Systems Support Specialist to provide day-to-day support, maintenance, and configuration of laboratory IT systems in a regulated environment.

You will work with laboratory teams, vendors, and IT groups to ensure systems are reliable, compliant, and meet operational needs, focusing on troubleshooting, system improvements, and maintaining data integrity and security.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with laboratory IT systems and software, such as LIMS and Empower.
• Knowledge of GMP, Data Integrity, and cybersecurity.
• Experience with system validation processes and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills to work with vendors and lab teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for laboratory software and systems, such as LIMS, Empower, and other lab applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including user access, software configurations, and data flow.
• Manage system integrations between lab instruments, databases, and enterprise systems.
• Maintain system settings, user roles, and security controls in line with compliance policies.
• Assist with database-related tasks, such as backups, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
• Support system validation activities, including testing, documentation, and periodic reviews.
• Coordinate system upgrades, patches, and maintenance with minimal disruption to lab operations.
• Create and update system documentation, including SOPs and user guides.
• Provide evidence and documentation during audits and inspections.
• Train lab users on system workflows and best practices.
• Collaborate with vendors for issue resolution and system enhancements.
