Job summary

Catalyx seeks an IT Helpdesk Specialist to join the Cork-based team, focusing on lab IT systems and GMP-compliant support. The role involves handling first-line issues, access control, and coordinating lab equipment deployments.

Ideal candidates will understand lab workflows, participate in IQ/OQ/PQ activities, and collaborate with IT, Quality, and Validation teams to maintain compliant operations in a dynamic, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting skills for laboratory equipment and IT systems.
• Experience with GMP compliance and audit trails in lab environments.
• Familiarity with laboratory workflows and equipment setup procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to document clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support for laboratory equipment issues and escalate to CSV/IT teams as needed.
• Conduct periodic reviews of lab systems, including access control and audit trail checks.
• Manage user access requests for laboratory systems in line with internal procedures.
• Support commissioning and qualification activities for new lab equipment.
• Coordinate setup and deployment for newly acquired lab systems.
• Collaborate with IT, Quality, and Validation to ensure GMP compliance.
• Assist two resources transitioning into the qualification group and help with onboarding.
• Maintain documentation and logs to regulatory standards.
