Eurofins Biopharma Product Testing is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join the Water Chemistry team in Dungarvan, Co Waterford. This full-time role supports site operations to enable efficient and right-first processing of customer samples.

You will perform general housekeeping, stock management, reagent prep, equipment checks, and ensure ALCOA+ compliant documentation. Flexibility to work in any area and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Full driving license required.
• GMP experience is preferred but not essential.
• Good team player.
• Good communication skills both internal and external.
• Proficient with PC applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Desirable: experience with electronic records.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping in the department/area and cleaning equipment as required.
• Provide lab support via stock management, reagent prep, equipment checks and documentation.
• Perform waste disposal duties as necessary.
• Complete documentation to ALCOA+ standards.
• Maintain training records and complete EtQ training on time.
• Adhere to safety, housekeeping and quality standards and report discrepancies.
• Be flexible to work in any area to meet customer requirements.
• Participate in the On-Call / Call out rota.
• May require changes in hours or days based on lab needs.

We are actively seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join our Water Chemistry team in Dungarvan, Co Waterford the role will support appropriate site operations to enable efficient and right first processing of customer samples throughout the relevant laboratory.

• General housekeeping activities in assigned department/ area, including keeping area clean and tidy and cleaning laboratory equipment etc. as required (e.g. refrigerators, incubators, stability chambers).
• Provision of laboratory/ area support to the team, through stock management, reagent preparation, equipment calibration and checks, requirement documentation completion etc.
• Performing waste disposal duties as necessary.
• Completion of all documentation to required standard (ALCOA+).
• Upkeep of training records and completion of all EtQ training on time.
• Adhering to all company standards in the area of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies.
• Flexibility ensuring that customers’ requirements are fully met and in so doing will be flexible to work in any area of the business as is required.
• To participate in the company On-Call / Call out rota as required.
• Flexibility may be required depending on the needs of the laboratory, this can include a change in working days and/or change in hours.

Education / Qualifications

Experience / Skills

A full drivers license is a requirement for the role

GMP experience/knowledge is preferred but not essential

Good team player

Good communication skills both internally and externally

Competent in the use of a PC such as Word, Excel, Outlook.

Desirable, experience in record keeping (preferably electronic records).
