Job summary

Eurofins Biopharma Product Testing in Dungarvan is seeking an Associate Scientist to join the Molecular Cell Biology Team. The role focuses on quality control testing of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products to ensure adherence to predefined quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include routine and non-routine analyses, timely completion of test records, participation in root cause analysis, and training colleagues as needed. Occasional weekend and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Degree in molecular cell biology or related scientific discipline with strong laboratory skills.
• Experience in GMP environments and cell-based potency assays is desirable.
• Excellent documentation and data integrity practices.

Job Description

The main aim of the role is to carry out quality control testing of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products to ensure compliance with predefined quality and safety standards.

• Perform routine and non-routine analysis with accuracy and efficiency.
• Complete test records on time, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities for quality and service improvement; contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Adhere to GMP guidelines and internal quality standards; ensure all activities are documented and traceable.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis and prepare Exception reports.
• Gain proficiency in assigned tests/areas of testing; maintain training records.
• Provide training to colleagues in techniques/tests where competency is proven.
• Provide cover for colleagues as required.
• Participate in weekend rota, overtime, and On-Call/Call-out schedules.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail
• Degree in molecular cell biology or related scientific discipline.
• At least 2 years experience with Cell Based Potency assays in GMP environment
• Organized, accurate, and strong documentation skills
