Dexcom Ireland is seeking a Lab Supervisor to lead the Solutions Lab on a 12-hour day shift (7:00am–7:00pm), supporting 24/7 manufacturing. You will build and develop a high-performing team, oversee solution preparation, testing, release and inventory, and ensure on-time delivery for production.
The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years of related experience with prior team leadership in a manufacturing lab, plus familiarity with analytical instruments like pH meters and HPLC.

Meet the Team: As the Lab Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate a team operating on our Back End Day shift to support our overall business units that operate 24/7. The Solutions Lab plays a critical role in manufacturing and testing of solutions required to support our production processes.
You will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted support to manufacturing operations by leading a team focused on solution preparation, testing, release, lab inventory management, testing equipment readiness, and operational execution.
This role is on a 12-hour day shift (7:00am – 7:00pm) Every Friday to Sunday and alternate Thursdays Following a repeating 4-on/3-off – 3-on/4-off schedule Shift Premium: 20 % premium You must have the right to work in Ireland. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Solutions Lab, ensuring critical manufacturing solutions are prepared, tested, released, and delivered on schedule to support continuous production. You will build, develop, and lead a high-performing team. You will be responsible for shift execution, work allocation, scheduling, and ensuring seamless communication and handover between shifts. You will ensure a culture where Safety, Quality, and Right First Time execution are the highest priorities. You will lead your team to deliver against agreed balanced scorecard objectives, including equipment uptime, quality performance, schedule adherence, and operational efficiency. You will partner closely with Planning to develop and execute lab schedules that support manufacturing demand and business priorities. You will oversee laboratory inventory management, ensuring materials and consumables are available to support production requirements. You will support the maintenance, calibration, validation, and ongoing readiness of laboratory equipment. You will collaborate with Engineering, Lot Release, Quality Control, Document Control, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure successful execution of production objectives. You will present operational updates, performance metrics, issues, and escalations at daily tier meetings and other leadership forums. You will ensure the team operates in compliance with company policies, procedures, GMP requirements, and applicable industry regulations. You will support the development of your team through coaching, performance management, and individual development planning.
You have previous experience leading teams within a manufacturing laboratory environment. You have experience working in chemistry-based manufacturing, process laboratories, or wet chemistry operations. You have a strong understanding of laboratory operations, testing processes, and analytical equipment. You have experience troubleshooting equipment-related issues You can set clear goals, provide feedback, and support employee development. You are an effective communicator who can engage teams, influence cross-functional partners, and present operational updates to leadership. You have experience with laboratory equipment such as pH meters, balances, conductivity meters, viscometers, HPLC systems, or similar analytical instrumentation. You have Medical Device industry experience, which is an advantage. You have experience working in start-up and scale-up environments, which is an advantage. You have experience working in a Digital Factory environment, which is an advantage.
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years related experience and previous team lead experience.

The annualised base salary for this position is from €57,715.00 to €74,690.00 gross. Final offer will depend on your qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
