Job summary

Dexcom Ireland seeks a Senior Supervisor in Manufacturing to stand up production in our Ireland factory. You will lead a 24/7 shift, set goals, manage resources, mentor supervisors, and ensure safety and quality as core values.

You will work cross-functionally to deliver on the balanced scorecard, develop team members, and drive continuous improvement through the Dexcom Production System. Front End Nights shift is 19:00–07:00, Monday to Thursday.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree and 6-8 years related experience (4 of which should be as Supervisor in manufacturing).
• Six Sigma/Lean experience is advantageous and beneficial.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills are required.

Position

The Ireland Operations team is actively seeking the right teammate to support the stand up of production in our Ireland factory as a Senior Supervisor in Manufacturing. As the Senior Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate a production team operating on one of our shifts to support our overall Business Units that operates 24/7. This position will set goals, establish priorities, manage resources, develop concepts and approaches, review production performance and results, and make decisions to ensure production deliverables are achieved. This job spends a significant amount of time leading a production team as well as mentoring other supervisors. Front End Nights is 19:00 – 07:00, Monday to Thursday and Monday to Wednesday every other week.

• Build and lead your team; ensure you have a highly motivated, high-performance team that operates to Dexcom's desired behaviors.
• Responsible for addressing people's performance issues and conflict resolutions if they arise.
• Ensure a culture within production where Safety and Quality are a priority.
• Focus on development of the individuals on the team for the benefit of the individual and Dexcom.
• Lead your production team to deliver balanced scorecard of deliverables pre agreed with the leadership team - work closely with and influencing your cross-functional partners to deliver these.
• Ensure due consideration is given to cross training and business continuity to minimize interruption to production.
• Ensure that you and the team operate the Dexcom Production System'.
• Engage actively as required to ensure resolution of issues and challenges.
• Coordinate and/or act as a liaison between work area, shifts, and functions.
• Ensure that the Production team executes in conformity with company and/or industry policies, procedures and regulations.
• Driving continuous improvement that will result in improvements in quality, cost, delivery and safety.
• Deeply understand the time studies for your area to enable resource management to maximize performance.
• Have a deep understanding of the financial associated with area of responsibility; make budgetary recommendations.
• Have deep technical knowledge to help drive resolution of challenges.
• Support new product introductions into commercial manufacturing as required.
• Remain up to date on global programs that will impact teams' execution.

What makes you successful:

• You have a relevant degree, and 6-8 years related experience (4 of which should be as Supervisor in manufacturing environment) or equivalent combination of Education and Experience.
• A six-sigma black belt or lean experience is advantageous.
• You will lead and develop production teams and individuals to maximize performance while focusing on delivery, cost and quality.
• You will work in a cross functional team to establish clear goals and deliverable for individuals while providing feedback and development plans.
• You will use effective communication skills such as active listening, expressing ideas clear and concisely, providing timely, constructive feedback, and adapting communication style as needed for intended audience.
• You demonstrate comfort with presenting issues and challenges, along with proposed solutions, to leadership in a timely manner.
• You show the ability to flex and adapt to rapidly changing circumstances in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• You demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence, approachability and trustworthiness.
• You have a track record of strong conflict mitigation skills.
• You have a willingness to collaborate and share knowledge cross-functionally and cross-location.
• You have experience of working in the medical device industry and/or within a digital factory manufacturing environment as an advantage.
• Ideally you are experienced with start-up & scale up organizations.

The annualised base salary for this position is from €63,665.00 to €82,390.00 gross. Final offer will depend on your qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
