Job summary

SMBC Group EMEA is seeking a Know Your Client & Client Onboarding Associate to manage AML/KYC onboarding for financial institutions and select customers. You will collect documentation, verify information, and support the team in ensuring compliance with CPD standards.

You will interact daily with Front Office to clarify requirements, monitor due dates, and escalate issues as needed. The role offers hybrid working in Dublin with opportunities in project development and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous eye for detail.
• Must be results orientated and adaptable to change.
• Ability to collaborate and work within a team.
• Previous experience of working within a CDD team in a financial institution would be a benefit.
• Externally recognised qualifications relating to AML and customer due diligence are preferable (ICA/ACAMS).

Responsibilities

• Perform AML and KYC onboarding for SMBC Group Companies.
• Collect from public sources documentation to support onboarding and review.
• Validate information/documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Investigate matches for Negative News and Politically Exposed Persons.
• Monitor due dates and coordinate with Front Office to meet deadlines.
• Assist in organising ongoing projects including system development and testing.
