Job summary

Sprout is opening a brand-new Clontarf restaurant this Autumn and is building a kitchen team to bring delicious food to life. This hands-on role is for someone who loves food, pays attention to details and wants to grow their kitchen skills in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll prepare ingredients from our recipes, ensure flavour, follow safety procedures and keep your area clean. Reporting to the Restaurant Leader, roles are available as full-time or part-time, with pay €14.50-€15.25 per hour,

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food prep experience is useful.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Exciting news - Sprout is coming Northside!

We're opening our brand-new Clontarf restaurant later this Autumn, and we're starting to build the brilliant kitchen team who'll bring the delicious food to life.

Our kitchen team are at the heart of what we do, preparing fresh ingredients, building flavour and making sure every bowl is something we're proud to serve.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys food, pays attention to the details and wants to keep building their kitchen skills in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to: Restaurant Leader
Contract: Full-time & Part-time available
Pay: €14.50-€15.25 per hour, depending on experience and role

What you'll do

Prepare delicious food

Work from our recipes and prep sheets to prepare fresh ingredients accurately and consistently every day.

Care about flavour

Pay attention to taste, freshness, portioning and presentation. If something doesn't look or taste right, don't let it slide.

Build your kitchen skills

Develop your knife skills, food knowledge and confidence in the kitchen while learning how we do things at Sprout.

Keep food safe

Follow food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures carefully and make sure everything you prepare is handled safely.

Know the process

Learn our menu, ingredients, recipes and kitchen SOPs so prep stays organised and consistent.

Support stock and rotation

Help the Kitchen Leader with stock checks, FIFO rotation and making sure fresh ingredients are ready when the team needs them.

Keep your area clean

Clean as you go, look after your station and help keep the kitchen organised and ready for service.

Get stuck in

When things get busy, jump in wherever you're needed and help the wider kitchen and restaurant team keep things moving.

A little about experience

Some previous kitchen or food prep experience would be useful.

More important is that you care about good food, are comfortable working at pace and are willing to learn. You'll need to be able to follow recipes and instructions, communicate clearly with the team and understand food safety requirements.
