Job summary

Talbot Hotel Midleton, part of the Talbot Collection, is recruiting a Kitchen Porter to join our team and work mid-week and weekend shifts up to 39 hours per week. The friendly environment and strong team culture are highlighted as part of one of the Best Places to Work in Hospitality 2025.

Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen hygiene, assisting with pot wash and storage areas, and ensuring crockery is cleaned and ready for departments.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel environment would be advantageous.
• A communicative level of English.
• Be a team player.
• Be able to work on own initiative.
• Be able to work under pressure.
• Available to work midweek and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• To ensure that the kitchen is maintained to an acceptable standard of hygiene at all times.
• Areas of responsibility: pot wash, storage areas, larder areas and surrounds, rubbish skip areas, hygiene in kitchen and storage areas, wash up area.
• To ensure that all crockery is cleaned and available for the departments as they are required.
• To assist chefs in any duties, as required.
• Work positively within the team.
