Job summary

Sodexo at University of Galway is seeking a kitchen team member to help keep kitchens clean and running smoothly for students, staff and visitors.

No prior kitchen experience is required as full training is provided; you’ll join a fast-paced team and contribute to high standards of food safety and service.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Eye for cleanliness and hygiene.

• Ability to follow procedures and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Keep all kitchen areas, equipment, crockery and utensils clean, tidy and well-organised
• Help chefs check, accept and correctly store incoming deliveries
• Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables safely and responsibly
• Assist chefs with food preparation tasks when required
• Support the smooth running of kitchen operations during busy service periods
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times
• Work closely with the kitchen team and support colleagues where needed
