Job summary

The Kitchen Porter role at Salthill Hotel involves maintaining the day-to-day cleanliness of the kitchen and its areas. You will work closely with the kitchen and hotel team to keep spaces and equipment to a high standard while following cleaning procedures.

This is a hands-on, full-time position at the 4-star Salthill Hotel in Salthill, Galway. Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year in a similar role, can work under pressure, and are fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year's experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the everyday cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Ensuring that equipment is clean and ready for next use.
• Manage stock of cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment.
• Work as part of the hotel team.
• This is a hands-on role which will require the occasional heavy lifting.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Chef and Hotel Manager

The Kitchen Porter is responsible for the day to day cleaning and overall cleanliness of the kitchen and kitchen areas, they will work closely with the kitchen & hotel team in making sure that the kitchen areas and equipment is kept to a high standard and to make sure that all cleaning procedures are adhered to.
