The Fleet Hotel in central Dublin is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the Head Chef and kitchen team. This role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, organizing storage, and assisting with deliveries and food preparation tasks as required.

You will join a friendly, fast-paced environment at a boutique hotel managed by Windward Management. A reliable, presentable candidate with flexible hours will thrive in this hands-on position offering on-site work and opportunities within the Windward group.

Qualifications

• Flexibility with working hours is essential.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen with the team.
• Good clean personal presentation is paramount.
• Ability to work on own initiative.

Responsabilités

• To assist the catering/catering team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in accordance with Food Hygiene Legislation
• Have responsibility for all cleaning duties within the food operation and also manage returns from the food outlets
• Follow a cleaning schedule and carry out tasks as directed by Senior Chefs
• Work to an agreed standard of hygiene practice as contained in the Kitchen HACCP manual
• To put all deliveries away and to ensure that they are transported to the appropriate storage area
• Operate equipment safely and to ensure it is in good working order
• Maintain all storage areas with regard to temperature, ventilation and cleanliness.
• Help ensure that all food items are stored under the correct conditions according to food type

The Kitchen Porter is an important position working closely with the Head Chef & Kitchen Team.

About The Fleet

The Fleet Hotel is a wonderful boutique style Hotel located in the centre of Dublin on the edge of Temple Bar. It comprises of some beautiful period buildings including the iconic Bewleys Café, much loved by Dubliner’s for decades. The Fleet Hotel is synonymous with local Dublin history, before becoming the Fleet Hotel, 19/20 Fleet Street was home to Bewley’s Café which was established by Ernest Bewley in 1905. Bewleys were known to be one of the finest Tea Houses in Europe and a favourite with Dubliner’s for generations.
