Sodexo is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team.
You’ll play an important role in supporting the kitchen team by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, supporting food preparation and ensuring the kitchen and equipment are ready for service.
Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
Clean and sanitise work surfaces, cooking equipment and kitchen areas
Clean and maintain food storage areas, including refrigerators and freezers
Receive and organise deliveries using FIFO stock rotation
Wash dishes, cutlery, pots, pans and other kitchen equipment
Remove and dispose of kitchen waste safely and correctly
Support the Chef with basic food preparation when required
Maintain a professional and welcoming approach when interacting with customers
Follow all relevant health, safety and food hygiene procedures
Previous kitchen or catering experience is required
A positive, professional and respectful approach
Good customer service and communication skills
Basic food-handling knowledge
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
Willingness to learn and support the wider kitchen team
Reliable, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team
