BaxterStorey is hiring a Kitchen Porter in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork, Ireland. The role is full-time, working 7am to 3:30pm, with a pay rate of €15.00 per hour. The position includes benefits such as holidays, birthday leave, and training opportunities to support a healthy work-life balance.

The ideal candidate will maintain a well-organised, clean kitchen, have stamina, attention to detail, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Previous kitchen exposure is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• No formal education is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing – Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either by hand or using industrial dishwashers
• Kitchen cleanliness – Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas. Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
• Food preparation – Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients
• Inventory management – Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients
• Compliance with health and safety – maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen ensuring equipment is in good working order
