Windward Management operates Cavan Crystal Hotel in County Cavan and is recruiting a Kitchen Porter to join the kitchen team. The role supports kitchen porters, maintains cleanliness, and ensures HACCP standards are met.

Flexibility with shifts includes mornings, evenings, and weekends, with a focus on teamwork and initiative to keep dishware, stock, and cleanliness at high levels across all hotel outlets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading a team would be desirable.
• A strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility in working hours as role includes shifts in the morning/evening and weekends.
• Previous experience working in a Kitchen environment or similar is desirable.
• Have a basic level of English.
• Have the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Head Chef.
• To support the Kitchen Porters in their role.
• Ensure tasks are delegated to the team and that they are completed to a high standard.
• To order and ensure sufficient stock and cleaning suppliers.
• To maintain supply of clean dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots etc. for all outlets in the hotel.
• To wash dishes, cutlery and glassware by operating dish washing machine.
• To maintain and ensure satisfactory HACCP standards.
• To maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen department.
• To follow proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.

Cavan Crystal Hotel is a luxury 4* Hotel based in County Cavan. Cavan Crystal Hotel is an ideal destination nestled in the heart of the stunning lake county which is ideally situated in close proximity to many diverse tourist attractions.

The Cavan Crystal Hotel are currently seeking applications for a Kitchen Porter to join the Kitchen Team.A head kitchen porter's role is essential in supporting and ensuring the overall functioning of a kitchen, ensuring that the chefs and other kitchen staff can focus on food preparation and service. The ability to work efficiently, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and collaborate with the kitchen team are key attributes for success in this role. This position will involve working 3 to 5 shifts per week.

Requirements:
